Qualifications     

Essential:     HNC in Engineering related course


Preferred:    HND/Degree in Engineering related course

Knowledge & Experience    

Essential:     Time served Engineering Apprentice.  Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD


Preferred:    3D Modeling experience.  Practical experience in an Engineering environment

Skills    

Essential:     IT literate with Microsoft Package experience.  Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques. 

                  Working knowledge of rotating machinery


Preferred:    Articulate communicator with the ability to prioritise workloads

Qualities    

Essential:     Self motivated with good attention to detail.  Ability to use own initiative but works well in a team


Preferred:    Can work under pressure, set and achieve deadlines
 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate manufacturing production drawings and models
  • Ensuring drawings meet all relevant company and industry standards
  • Maintaining and ensuring Design Library is up-to-date
  • Assisting Engineering department with maintaining and filing drawings, compiling comprehensive part lists and other technical data in the project technical files
  • Checking drawings and signing off from other Draughtsmen
  • Being responsible for delegating tasks to Trainee Draughtsman and also supervising and supporting their output
  • Ensuring and maintaining ACE Winches drawing control system is adhered too
  • Compiling comprehensive Parts Lists and controlling of all current and ongoing projects
