 Qualifications     

Essential:     HND/1st Degree in  Electric/Electronic, ATEX awareness

Preferred:    Masters Degree  in Electric/Electronic Engineering.  

Knowledge & Experience    

Essential:     Working knowledge of 2D draughting systems for circuit diagrams. 

                      Good knowledge of manufacturing processes

Preferred:    Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D for circuit diagrams, relevant experience in a similar industry. 

                       Previous supervisory experience

Skills    

Essential:     Ability to design power, signal and control circuits from first principles.  Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing techniques

Preferred:    Working knowledge of control theory, PLC programming

Qualities    

Essential:      Abiltiy to communicate and work and motivate with others amicably.  Ability to work on own initiative or as a team member.  Ability to work under pressure, set and achieve deadlines.

Preferred:     To maintain professional company standards at all times.

    

 Main responsibilities include:

  • Carry out work according to Master Project Plan
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and formulating/technically approving purchase requisitons/orders for final approval by Engineering Support Operations Manager
  • Construct and maintain Parts Lists for all current and ongoing projects
  • Construct detailed electrical/electronic/control circuits
  • Construct detailed parts lists
  • Construct system functionality descriptions
  • Ensure ATEX markings are correct on equipment name plates
  • Reporting relevant information to Line Manager on a daily basis
  • Produce/approve commissioning procedures for electrical/electronic/control systems
  • Attend Client technical meetings as required
  • Liaise with 3rd party Design Verification authorities as demanded by the contract
  • Approval and signing off electrical drawings/documents
