To learn all aspects of project planning  and executing  from initial request right through to the delivery, commissioning and handover of the completed product and systems. Produce drawings and models that ensure the functionality of the design and production of components. Graduates will follow a structured programme, rotating through all aspects of the business.

The role of Graduate Engineer requires good management, communication and reporting skills combined with a sound knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.

The Graduate Scheme is approved by IMechE and Graduates get the opportunity to work towards Chartered Status.

Qualifications     

Essential:     BEng in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred:    MEng in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge & Experience    

Essential:     Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing techniques                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Preferred:    Experience of Inventor

Skills    

Essential:     IT literate with Microsoft Package experience
Preferred:    Good communication and prioritisational skills

Qualities    

Essential:      Self motivated with good attention to detail.  Ability to use own initiative but works well in a team
Preferred:    Can work under pressure and set deadlines.  Assertive and outgoing
 

Main responsibilities include:  

  • Liaising with clients to communicate any variations on orders
  • Co-ordinating design and project teams to network with ACE Winches’ Manufacturing and Service departments
  • Providing the technical information and resources necessary for the development, execution and delivery of a project
  • Completing progress reports for Engineering Manager
  • Liaising with Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Operations departments on all aspects of engineering design, project management and technical assistance
  • Ensuring all required maintenance, certification and HSEQ documentation are complied accurately for all manufactured equipment
