Qualifications     

Essential:     HNC in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred:    Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Degree in Business Management; Time served Engineering Craftsman

Knowledge & Experience    

Essential:     Previous managerial experience; Offshore Oil and Gas or Marine field experience in remote locations

Preferred:    Full knowledge of International Winch and Deck Machinery markets, products and associated drive and power systems

                   including applications

Skills    

Essential:    IT literate with Microsoft Package experience; Excellent communication, managerial and prioritisational skills;

                  Exceptional people management and delegation skills

Qualities    

Essential:    Self motivated and ability to work under pressure; Assertive with meticulous attention to detail

Main responsibilities include: 

  • Monitor and Manage Departmental Priority Work List – Maintain, update and copy back to the COO
  • Delegate tasks, guide and coach department staff
  • To oversee the running and management of the Hire Department
  • Nurture Client communication to enable smooth Hire Project Management
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard
  • Prepare, check, authorise and issue Hire Mobilisation Orders
  • Review and complete Contract Review Form
  • Supervise, organise and control mobilisations
  • Ensure Client deadlines are adhered too
  • Equipment Troubleshooting, as and when required
  • Alerting COO of breakdowns affecting operations immediately
  • Reporting relevant instructions to Line Manager on a daily basis
